I an on business in Singapore now, and will have a few free days. They describe it as some sort of a spiritual thing, like "Tantric massage is a popular massage, it really makes you feel as you are in a trance, where physical boundaries dissolve and time disappears. Worries and problems no longer seem to be important, or are forgotten altogether. This is an amazing once in a life experience for both men and women. On the surface, this looks really interesting and cultural, but there are a few things that sound seedy.
For instance, all these places offer only outcall service. I have no problem with a therapist as they call themselves coming to my hotel, but what's wrong with regular massage parlors? Another day I got an excellent foot massage at a completely normal parlor downtown Singapore. To be bland, I am not interested in any kind of sexual services, and I am afraid that instead of promised cultural experience they just sell, pardon my French, glorified handjobs. Can anybody enlighten me on this account?
I think those ones using words like "sensual" etc are offering some extra special services that you may not want It certainly wouldn't be a standard aromatherapy massage or remedial massage for back pain, or shoulder injury etc. I think you understand what they are really offering There are plenty of reputable foot reflexology places, and day spas, and spas in hotels offering proper services, eg.
Relaxation massage, or foot reflexology, and shoulder and head massage. You can click on the Things to Do link in the green banner across the top of this page, select Singapore Attractions, click on Activities, then click on Wellness and Spas.
That will be the list of spas reviewed by recent visitors. Maybe choose from them. I would stay away from any place that advertises "sensual massage" by "pretty ladies" or suchlike. If you're after a good, clean traditional Chinese massage foot and back , there are a couple of chains that you can try - Wan Yang, Chien Chi Tow, Kenko are names that come to mind. Otherwise, there are plenty of spas in 5-star hotels with expansive and expensive!
